Eternal Spiral
Worlds within worlds.
10.5” x 11.5” Spiral shaped wood substrate.
The substrate is the shape of a Koru. The Maori people use that shape to represent growth and beginnings because it echoes the shape of an unfurling fern plant. Ammonites were marine creatures that lived between 400 million and 66 million years ago (when they died out in the same mass extinction event that wiped out the non-avian dinosaurs). There are 38 Ammonite fossils in this piece, along with countless blue glass circles.
